“If I die, know your Twin Star’s in the sky…” |
She saw the murderous desire in his eyes, and the pain he felt. Something happened to him and he must have snapped, and she was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time. He looked sick, like there was something wrong, like he was seeing things. He gave a snarl and as she stepped back he pounced, tackling her down like she was nothing. She yowled in pain as he bit her neck, and she threw him off, but he caught himself and jumped on her again, biting her and clawing her neck and shoulders. She threw him off again and this time she lashed out, catching his muzzle with her claws. He yowled, and responded with a claw of his own, and it hit her neck. The molly felt the blow, and she gave a yowl before she fell.
Onyx was about to finish her off before he heard more cats coming. He looked down at her, her breath was raspy and blood began to pool around her. He growled and bolted off, running across the small stream and entering Syndicate Territory. She layed there, weak, in pain, blood flowing from her neck and shoulder wounds. She faintly heard the calls and shouts of a border patrol, and saw the fuzzy figures circle her, some chasing off the ebony tom. And in this all a certain, more familiar voice echoed in her ears. “Scorchedpetal… No…” the voice said, pained. It was her mate, Cliffheart. “C-Cliff…?” she managed to say. Her eyes slowly met his gaze, and she saw the tears in his eyes. Auroraflame padded up beside him and her ears fell as she gasped. “It’s me, it’s me…” he said softly. He looked at her yellow gaze, his pastel green eyes flooding with tears. He didn’t want her to die. She couldn’t die. He didn’t know how to survive without her. Scorchedpetal brought up her tail and wiped his eyes. “Don’t cry, Cliffheart…” she said softly, her voice weak. “If I die, know your Twin Star’s in the sky…” she said, a small rhyme that she had said once before. Tears flowed through his eyes, and Auroraflame padded up closer to him, more to comfort him, and to see her friend. Then, her deputy side snapped in. “I’ll go get Ebonypaw and Grousestar. Stay here, keep her awake.” she said, and then took a few of the patrol and they bolted back to the clan. “Please, Scorchedpetal, please don’t die…” he begged as her breath slowed, and her eyes began to close. “N-No… Scorchedpetal!” he cried, shaking her. Two members of the patrol looked at him. After a few minutes the Leader and Medicine Cat were there, and Ebonypaw pushed passed to see her. She pressed her nose to her chest and then looked up. “She’s still alive. Someone help me here, we have to get her to the den!” she said, and a tom got her onto his back. Cliffheart tried to keep up but his leg began to ache. “Stay shining, Scorchedpetal, oh please stay alive…” he said, and then slowed. Auroraflame slowed as well so he wasn’t left behind. And they watched as Scorchedpetal was carried to the den, and they both hoped that Scorchedpetal would be saved... |
Soldier's Love |
An Army Girl was sitting in a fox hole as bombs were dropped.
She cried, holding a necklace tightly. “Dear lord… If you could get me out of here…” A bomb landed in the foxhole, and the sounds of yells were heard. After they fought off the enemy, they went to the hole, and the sight brought the General to his knees. The girl was there, and she was badly injured. They took her to base and got news from the medic. “She’ll live. But she’s lucky. A piece of metal was found in her necklace. The necklace was over her heart. If she hadn’t of had it, she would have died then and there.” The General walked into her room and smiled. He didn’t believe in miracles until that day. They won the war, and the girl was raved a hero. FOR HER BRAVERY AND DETERMINATION. DESPITE THE HELL SHE WENT THROUGH, IF IT WEREN’T FOR HER, WE WOULD HAVE LOST. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. The story? The girl walked into the General’s tent, and layed the necklace on desk. “Keep this in your pocket, and give it to my daughter after the war if I’m not here to do so.” The general knew it was suicide, but the Soldier’s smile made him nod, and he slipped the necklace into his pocket. Later that day, a battle broke out, and fires shot. Many men died, and the General stood up, and someone shot at his heart. He fell back, and grabbed his chest. Someone shot the soldier dead, and ran to the General. “Sir?” The General took the necklace from his pocket, and exhaled heavily. “Where is Private Davis?” He ran to a cover, and he stopped in his tracks. The sight of the girl with a bullet wound on her chest brought tears in his eyes. She gave up the necklace, knowing she would die, so that he would live and win the war. Who was the General? General Adam Davis. And the girl? Private Beth Davis. The girl gave up her life… for her brother’s. |

Sun and Moon |
Who is that I see?
Reflecting off the sapphire sea? Nothing but the Morning man. Shining his light on the wheat and sand. And he toils through the oceans above, To give the earth warmth and love. And when he lies down to sleep, And we begin to count the sheep, We will be in our dream land soon, And only the wolves can see the Moon. She passes by her little stars Healing us with her soft light, healing scars. And as she dips behind the mountains, Or into the sea, or past the fountains, Once again we see the gleaming sand. Wake up, wake up, Morning man! |
